Update 9-24-07

Ahhhhh...  So here we are coming up on the final quarter of 2007 and still no PLEA FOR PEACE center up and running.  Yup, it's very frustrating.  This venture is already in the fourth year of planning.  Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought we'd still be searching for a place to call home.  But I do see light at the end of the tunnel. 

We have a space, but we're in a state of limbo as we are waiting for some various moves to be made before we are able to step in and do our thing.  The current owner is selling the building and it is being purchased by a gentleman whom is rooted in punk and knows the mission of PLEA FOR PEACE.  We have an a friend in real estate?  Wow, what do you know.  But it's still hard to keep watching month after month go by and still nothing.  My friend Middaugh Goodwyn will be running the Stockton, California PLEA FOR PEACE program.  He is a long time friend who has been putting on DIY shows in this small town for over 15 years.

We've already had meetings with key individuals from the city, including the chief of police.  It's an exciting time for sure, but I'm just a bit anxious.  Well, let's see if we can get this up and running by years end.  Fingers and toes are crossed.
